Team Lead (Night Shift)

This is an in-office position for a night shift; must be able to commute to Alexandria, VA.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily operational activities for assigned areas of responsibility, including workflow management and prioritization, and compliance with company policies and procedures in order to accomplish performance, efficiency and quality targets. The Team Lead can be assigned to one or more projects depending on customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work;
  • Conduct initial and/or re-training of employees as needed.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, skills, competencies and available capacity;
  • Monitor and report quality metrics for assigned team
  • Under the direction of management evaluate work performance of subordinates;
  • Through quality and continuous improvement suggest methods to improve production, efficiency or increase the quality of the work directed;
  • Under the direction of management give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters;
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures;
  • With the assistance of management interpret and apply product specifications, technical data, regulations, policy statements, and other guideline materials;
  • Conduct problem analysis to resolve operational issues and disseminate the information to other effected groups.
  • Conduct weekly review and approval of all eFaact time entry information for assigned team members.
  • Act as a member of the prospective new employee interview team.
  • Track progress of team toward throughput goals
  • Occasional direct interactions with customers, as required
  • Occasional local travel to customer sites, as required
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Minimum Public Trust or ability to pass government background check to obtain clearance.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to change requirements effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on a team and motivate employees
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience or six months VASTEC digitization exp. with management approval.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Comprehension of material handling and warehouse workflow
  • Technical experience and ability to troubleshoot high volume scanning equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, including SharePoint
